Irvine Global Village Fest

The Irvine Global Village Festival is September 24, 2016 from 10-6pm at Bill Barber Park, near Irvine City Hall. Recognized as one of the best cultural festivals in Orange County, this celebration features more than 100 musical, dance and demonstration performances; international cuisine; a Kids Village with crafts and activities; cultural and religious exhibits; and a world marketplace.  Festival admission is free. This day-long celebration — the largest multicultural event in Orange County — attracts an estimated 20,000 visitors, with attendance growing each year.

Food tasting tickets are available for purchase at the event, with prices ranging from $1 to $3.  You are also welcome to stop by the UC Irvine booth near the entrance, which will feature a bicycle-powered blender with smoothie samples, a bag-making craft activity that will allow us to re-purpose prior year t-shirts, and information about UCI resources, research and innovation (inclusive of demos from our sustainability-oriented student entrepreneurs from the ANTreprenuer Center), and upcoming events.

Public parking is not available at the event site; however, you may park at neighboring parking structures and take a shuttle there at no cost. The Anteater Express will also be running to provide free transportation to students, staff and faculty.  The bus will be on a 30 minute loop starting at 9:55am. The order of stops is the ARC, Town Center, then the park. For more event details, please visit www.irvinefestival.org.  We look forward to seeing you there!
