2024 Staff Appreciation Picnic

RSVPs are not required but are requested to allow us to get an estimated attendance count for planning, including food ordering. Staff who missed the RSVP deadline can still attend.
The Staff Appreciation Picnic is an annual event hosted by the UCI Staff Assembly to recognize and say THANKS to the staff for all they do for the UC Irvine community! The event is planned and led entirely by volunteer staff who donate their time to make it a memorable experience. This is about coming together, appreciating staff, and enjoying a meal. We welcome all staff from UC Irvine Campus and UCI Health to join us for this special time.
Event Details
Tables, chairs, and umbrellas will be provided and set up by Signature Rental before the staff arrives at the picnic. Please avoid bringing pop-up canopies, generators, or BBQ grills.

Parking
Parking for this event is complimentary and is available in the Anteater Parking Structure in any general (unmarked) stall. You must register your vehicle by August 27 at 11:59 p.m. through UCI Transportation’s PARKbyPLATE system.

There will be free shuttle services to/from the UCI Medical Center in Orange and UC Irvine Campus. Schedule times may vary due to traffic conditions. The shuttle stop for UCI Medical Center will be located in front of Building 53 Auditorium.

Mini Shuttle from UCI Research Park
A mini shuttle service will begin running at 10:30 a.m. and will travel in a continuous loop from Research Park to Lot 12A every 20 minutes or when the shuttle is full.
Zero Waste Event
The event is committed to being a Zero Waste event. Zero Waste allows us to minimize the material going into landfill and maximize the materials that are recycled and composted, leading to a lower carbon footprint and a cleaner environment. There will be Zero Waste stations using the three bin system: landfill, composting, and recycling.
To be sustainable, we encourage staff to bring their reusable plates (no large to-go containers), utensils, and beverage containers. There will be hydration stations for refilling water bottles and recyclable plates, utensils, and cups available.
